Welcome
to the Springfield Metro Chapter(SMC) website. SMC chartered on
January 19, 2007 and we are enthusiastic, growing as a chapter and
excited to be a good community partner in the Springfield area. Our
2006/2007 theme was Continuing to Learn...Continuing to Grow. The 2007/2008 theme for Springfield Metro Chapter IAAP was Learning...Growing...Providing New Opportunities.
During the 2008/2009 IAAP year the theme for Springfield Metro Chapter IAAP is Growing Mighty Oaks which
is indicative of the statement that "Mighty Oaks from Small Acorns
grow." Springfield Metro Chapter has indeed grown in the first 2 1/2
years of the chapter's existance receiving the MO Division Traveling
Trophy Award in 2006/2007, the Avery Dennison Chapter Prestige Award in
2007/2008 and the Avery Dennison Chapter Distinction Award in
2008/2009. SMC members are eagerly participating during the 2008/2009
year as teams and programs are put into place. During 2008/2009 a
Strategic Plan Ad-hoc Team was appointed and charged with the task of
drafting the SMC 3-year Strategic Plan. As with the chapter's mission
statement, this plan was designed during a chapter meeting and will be
implemented by the membership.
If you are looking for an IAAP
chapter which is actively involved in the growth and development of its
members, actively involved in the Springfield Metro community and
actively involved in mentoring, teaching, developing and
networking....SMC is the chapter for you. Please browse our website
and then contact any of the officers listed on the
2008/2009 Leadership page for more information.
Thanks for visiting the Springfield Metro Chapter (SMC) IAAP Website.
