Welcome to the Springfield Metro Chapter(SMC) website.

SMC chartered on January 19, 2007 and we are enthusiastic, growing as a chapter and excited to be a good community partner in the Springfield area.

Our 2006/2007 theme was Continuing to Learn...Continuing to Grow. The 2007/2008 theme for Springfield Metro Chapter IAAP was Learning...Growing...Providing New Opportunities. The 2008/2009 IAAP year the theme for Springfield Metro Chapter IAAP was Growing Mighty Oaks which is indicative of the statement that "Mighty Oaks from Small Acorns grow." The 2009/2010 theme was Growing in Excellence.  Springfield Metro Chapter's 2010/2011 theme is Growing in Passion with Purpose.

Springfield Metro Chapter (SMC) has indeed grown in the first few years of the chapter's existance receiving the MO Division Traveling Trophy Award in 2006/2007, the Avery Dennison Chapter Prestige Award in 2007/2008, the MO Division Traveling Trophy Award in 2008/2009 and the Avery Dennison Chapter Distinction Award in 2008/2009.  SMC members are planning and participating during the 2009/2010 year as committees, services and programs are put into place.  During 2008/2009 a Strategic Plan Ad-hoc Team completed the SMC 3-year Strategic Plan.  As with the chapter's mission statement, the strategic plan was designed during a chapter meeting and approved by the SMC Board and chapter members.  During the 2010/2011 year SMC is the sponsoring chapter for the MO Division's first new chapter of the year - Branson Tri-Lakes Chapter - which will charter on September 9, 2010.  We continue to grow in experience and expertise, our members continue to grow their skills and talents and we are looking forward with great passion and purpose to this new IAAP year.

If you are looking for an IAAP chapter which is actively involved in the growth and development of its members, actively involved in the Springfield Metro community and actively involved in mentoring, teaching, developing and networking...SMC is the chapter for you. Please browse our website and then contact any of the officers listed on the 2010/2011 Leadership Team page for more information. Thanks for visiting the Springfield Metro Chapter (SMC) IAAP website.
